What are the levels of service that Teal Lake can provide?
Teal Lake Senior Living is able to care for residents who are independent, through end-of-life care. Our Resident Care Director does an assessment on each resident prior to admission to determine how much assistance he/she may or may not need. We have four levels of care which range from Medication Management and intermittent assistance through full assistance and end-of-life care.
How many people live at Teal Lake?
Our community is licensed through the State of Michigan as a Home for the Aged. This license allows for us to have up to 46 residents. We have 38 apartments which allows for us to have some couples or double occupancy apartments.
Can guests dine with me at Teal Lake?
Yes, of course guests are welcome! Our business office sells guest meal tickets, or the guest can add the meal to the resident’s rent each month. All resident meals are included in the base rent. We also have a private dining room that residents can reserve at no change for private parties and events.
Can my out-of-town guest stay overnight at Teal Lake?
Yes, your out-of-town family and friends are welcome to stay overnight at Teal Lake Senior Living for a few nights.
Do you allow pets?
We do allow pets. There is a small pet assistance fee, and we will need to have all veterinary records on file. Your pet is welcome to live with you at Teal Lake Senior Living.
I am a veteran/my spouse was a veteran. Do I qualify for financial assistance?
If you are a veteran or the spouse of a veteran, it is possible that you could qualify for aid and attendance. Please let us know if you are eligible for veteran’s benefits, and we will assist you in the process of determining what benefits are available to you.
Do you provide transportation?
We are able to provide transportation as well as an aide to accompany you to your doctor’s appointment for a small fee. Our activities department organizes different outings throughout the month at no additional charge.
Can I bring my own furniture to Teal Lake?
We encourage you to bring your own furniture to Teal Lake Senior Living. It is your home! If you need furniture we can work with you to make sure you have everything you need to feel settled and comfortable in your own apartment.
