We are thrilled to have opened the doors to Teal Lake Senior Living this week. We broke ground just over one year ago and it is such an honor to finally welcome our new residents home. Thank you to our development and construction team and to the everyone who helped along the way to create this beautiful Community!
We are in the home stretch here at Teal Lake Senior Living! The final touches are being carefully made to ensure that we are completely ready for our residents. The sod was placed this week to complete the landscaping of our grounds. The exterior of the building is being power washed. On the interior, furniture for the common areas is arriving and we are busy training staff, finalizing our licensing and ordering supplies. We are so excited to show off our beautiful Community! Construction at Teal Lake Senior Living is close to completion. We are in the final stages of finish work – including carpeting the last hallway, cleaning and installing appliances on the interior. On the exterior of the building, paving is completed in the parking lot and the stonework is in the final stages. We have also started landscaping.
We are in the final stages of construction at Teal Lake Senior Living Community! On the exterior of the building, the sidewalks have all been poured and the stonework and siding are being finalized. Next week the landscaping will be installed followed by paving the last week of July. On the interior of the building, the light fixture installation is complete and the cabinetry and carpeting in the public spaces is close to being finished

The construction of Teal Lake Senior Living Community is well into the finish stage. Since the main exterior feature of our design, the massive timber trusses, have gone up, the building is getting a lot of great compliments, as it is quite visible from the highway. Many of the suites will enjoy a great view of Teal Lake. With the completion of Water St and its intersection with US 41, anyone can now drive through and see the beautiful main entrance of the building. Summer is just about here and we are making good progress with the warmer temperatures. On the exterior of the building, siding has begun and we are continuing the stonework. The large timber beams have been installed on the back of the building, on the patio overlooking the lake. At the main entrance, the beams have gone up to create the canopy entrance. For the interior, the mechanical equipment is being installed. The large commercial kitchen is being outfitted with appliances. The apartments have been painted and door frames are going in. Cabinets will begin being installed this week. The bathrooms now have showers, toilets and vinyl flooring.
May 12th – Drywall is about 80% complete on the interior of the building. On the exterior, sidewalks are being poured and stonework completed. The next big exterior project will be installing large timber beams for the porch canopies sometime over the next couple of weeks, followed by siding. We are making progress and happy to have warmer spring weather!

Construction Update from L.R. Swadley of Swadley Development LLC, the project developer for the owner: “Teal Lake Senior Living Community’s construction schedule is progressing well. The project is about 60% complete. The interior finishes are moving along quickly and are at the drywall stage. Exterior finishes will be resuming now that spring has finally arrived. The building has a commanding presence that can be seen in its entirety from the highway overlooking Teal Lake.”
